Facts and Tips About Flexo

The flexo industry continues to see new and innovative advancements that are dramatically improving print quality and efficiencies. Some examples are enhanced prepress workflows, new computer-to-plate technologies, next-generation HD flexo plates, and pressroom productivity improvements with higher speed, faster changeover presses.

There’s no core curriculum for technology, so Anderson & Vreeland has introduced a series of Technical Tips covering a range of flexo prepress subjects, including new and converging technologies affecting flexo.

We want to offer informative, engaging content as added value and support for our customers, especially as our industry continues to innovate with new technology and capabilities, said Jessica Harkins Harrell, Technologies Manager for A&V. There will be Tech Tips for everyone, from basic information on flexo plate production to advanced printing applications, added Harrell.

A&V’s Tech Tips cover a range of subjects including best practices for flexo plate mounting, plate making, and printing. Technical Tips #1 through #3 are now available on Anderson & Vreeland’s website and cover “Water-wash Platemaking Guidelines”, “Viewing Conditions”, and “Best Practices: Plate Mounting”. Additional Technical Tips will be developed on an on-going basis to create a library of reference material.

We encourage you to take a few minutes to check out these Tech Tips and hope you’ll learn something new to improve your skillset and operation.
