Color Management Conference

Co-hosted by the Flexographic Technical Association and Printing Industries of America, the Color Management Conference will be held from December 7th to the 10th at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona.

From color management to optimal specs for printers, the Color Management Conference promises to bring together industry leaders and innovators to discuss some of the best color matching technology available.

The sessions are divided into four tracks: Production, Geek, Mac Lab, and Brand/Design. Be sure to check out the Main Stage, which promises to highlight the major presentations by some phenomenal speakers.

FIRST for Designers: Building projects with Flexo in Mind – Mark R. Mazur of DuPont/FTA FIRST Chair, Joe Tuccitto of the Flexographic Technical Association: More for designers, this session aims to help them understand flexo printing and how to create projects that work well with flexo.

Best Practices for G7 CMYK Gamut Printing – Lou Prestia, Product Line Manager, EFI: How to use G7 effectively and achieve accurate and consistent color in a press environment

Proofing: Which Technology is Best for You? – A panel discussion moderated by Rich Apollo, Rods and Cones: Hard, soft or press? This session discusses the pros and cons of all three types of proofs.

Best Practices for G7 Expanded Gamut Printing – Dan Gillespie, Director of Technical Services, Color Management Group: How to get the best and most accurate color in a G7 expanded gamut environment.

What Do Printers Wish Designers Knew…. And Vise Versa – Angela Stone, Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee: Printers, here’s your chance to get a better understanding of designers. This session focuses on the printer/designer relationship and how to establish a solid set of guidelines.
