This time of year is always a time for giving. This year Anderson & Vreeland, 3M, and their customers teamed up for the first annual “Printers Helping Pantries”, a food drive to help those in need. They were able to collect 753lbs of food, which will help a lot of people in need have a more enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Anderson & Vreeland and 3M team up regularly for their “Lunch and Learn” events to keep their employees uptodate on what is going on in the industry. In addition to the regular educational sessions for AV employees, Anderson & Vreeland and 3M get together at least once a year for an educational seminar for their customers. This year they decided to get their customers/printers involved in a charity, they chose feeding the hungry by taking action in their own backyard, Santa Fe Springs, CA.
AV then started making calls to their local customers regarding this concept and asking if they could drop off an empty “Printers Helping Pantries” box to have their employees participate in the food drive by filling the box. Once the box was filled AV would then pick the box up to begin distributing the collected food. Anderson & Vreeland was overwhelmed with how amazing their customers are. As Debbie Castelli, Anderson & Vreeland Customer Service explains; “I had never handled a food drive and had set a goal to gather at least 300 lbs of food”. Anderson & Vreeland and 3M were so proud to have gathered 753lbs of food from their customers, that amount of food can feed a lot of hungry people. This year was the First Annual Printers Helping Pantries, and it will definitely be an event next year after all participants walked away feeling so rewarded by being able to help others.
