Kodak Direct Image Thermal Recording Film / 2401 produces consistent, reliable results for flexographic plate making applications. Similar to hard dot film in quality, it renders high-contrast, sharp image reproduction and has excellent dimensional stability.
With Kodak Direct Image Thermal Recording Film / 2401, you can eliminate the costs associated with film processing. There is no need for film processing equipment, so you can reduce your electricity and water usage costs and have more available floor space. In addition, you do not need to purchase the wet chemicals required for film processing. Because Kodak Direct Image Thermal Recording Film / 2401 can be handled in room light, you no longer need to maintain a separate dark room.
Kodak Direct Image Thermal Image Recording Film / 2401 is designed for liquid photopolymer flexographic plate making. It is designed for exposure using the Kodak Thermoflex Platesetter, which uses an infrared laser to ablate the nonimage areas. In addition to replacing conventional film for liquid photopolymer flexographic plate making, this versatile film can be used for a variety of other tasks, such as contacting and checking type and registration.
